Festival Review: Copenhagen Winter Jazz Festival 2024, Denmark ★★★★★
Vinterjazz 2024 this February was incredible, evident from the countless Copenhagers who queue for hours to get into the events.
I dropped by Library Bar, Bernstorffsgade 4, 1577 København and queued chatting to locals in the Hotel Plaza, a couple managed to help me queue jump just as the Jazz began. The Vieux Carrès played a traditional New Orleans jazz set in the luxurious bar adorned with oak panels and leather chairs.
I had a Tuborg, which I am told the Danes drink, as opposed to the Tourists drinking Carlsberg. I ordered a Cocktail called “Roll Call”, forest fruits negroni style with a winter Danish twist.
The atmosphere was exactly how you would hope a late Saturday night in Copenhagen would be. The Vieux Carrès did a fantastic job of entertaining and judging the mood of the crowd. Highly recommend Vinterjazz 2025 or the Jazz Festival this summer.
